Sentry Doors pledges support for Fire Door Safety Week
Sentry Doors is pleased to announce its support of Fire Door Safety Week 2020. As a manufacturer of certified fire doors, we are committed to the highest standards of construction practice, and fire safety is at the core of this commitment.
The campaign, now in its eighth year running, aims to raise awareness of the importance of the role of fire doors. This year’s campaign, running from the 21st to the 29th September, will focus attention on specific issues such as poor installation and maintenance with an overall aim to engage and educate specifiers, building owners and the general public on fire door safety.
Fire doors are critical to a buildings passive fire protection, their role being the first line of defence in a fire, providing those vital minutes for occupants to evacuate the building safely. At Sentry Doors, our aim is to provide quality and compliance assurance at all stages and our investment in the certification and accreditations we hold is testament to this.
Designed to offer peace of mind, our FD30 and FD60 door sets undergo independent primary fire testing, and we are one of the few companies that have achieved dual certification to both the BM Trada Q-Mark Fire Door Manufacture and Q-Mark Enhanced Security: PAS 24: 2016 (Secured by Design). Certifire certification offers further assurance as this involves rigorous testing and auditing, combined with current fire test evidence and ISO9001 Quality Assured production, ensuring that the fire doors supplied will provide the same level of performance as those tested.
