  • Delivery

Doorsets are delivered on a heavy-duty pallet stacked on one long edge, each individually wrapped. Multiple doorsets are secured using wooden batons. To prevent damage, batons should be kept in place until installation. Paired doors are delivered separate from frame for transportation, site safety and handling. Doorsets are individually labelled to ensure ease of installation.

  • Site Care & Storage

Doorsets should be stored on pallets and kept wrapped where possible. If doorsets are removed from the pallet, they need to be stacked individually, using load bearers equally across door top, middle and bottom of face of door leaf, ensuring there is no risk of damage to doorset and components.

Each doorset should be checked upon delivery with any defects that are immediately visible being noted clearly on the delivery note. Any shortages or defects should be reported within 72 hours of delivery. Each doorset should then be repackaged to ensure complete protection until installed. Doorsets should be kept clean and dry inside the polythene packaging until installation, to preserve the finish.

Do not store or install in an area which may be subject to extremes of temperature. Use a dry, well ventilated building, in areas which have not been recently plastered. Avoid exposure to sunlight.
We do not recommend doorsets are stored in containers for lengthy periods. Do not store door assemblies standing upright or leaning, as this can cause bowing and product damage.

It is essential that precautions are taken where there is a risk of moisture content build up, doorsets delivered to site need to correctly acclimatise rather than being subjected to sharp changes in temperature or humidity. The temperature and humidity need to be kept as consistent as possible on both sides of the door.

Simply inform us at the time of tender as the testing and rapid switching on and off of heating during construction is detrimental to the joinery.

  • O&M Manual

Following delivery of your doorsets you will receive your O&M manual by email which will give you advice and guidance on caring for your doorsets.
