We have built up a longstanding customer base which includes major contractors, housing associations and local authority supplying fully compliant fire door sets nationally and predominantly in London Boroughs such as Camden, Islington, Westminster and Barnet.
At Sentry Doors we strive to offering a professional and friendly service from enquiry right through to installation and we appreciate that the customer journey doesn’t always stop there. Our friendly customer care team are on hand to assist post-installation and offer advice and guidance to ensure complete satisfaction.
Door sets are delivered on a heavy-duty pallet stacked on one long edge, each individually wrapped. Multiple door sets are secured using wooden batons. To prevent damage, batons should be kept in place until installation. Paired doors are delivered separate from frame for transportation, site safety and handling. Door sets are individually labelled to ensure ease of installation.
Door sets should be stored on pallets and kept wrapped where possible. If door sets are removed from the pallet, they need to be stacked individually, using load bearers equally across door top, middle and bottom of face of door leaf, ensuring there is no risk of damage to door set and components.
Each door set should be checked upon delivery with any defects that are immediately visible being noted clearly on the delivery note. Any shortages or defects should be reported within 72 hours of delivery. Each door set should then be repackaged to ensure complete protection until installed. Door sets should be kept clean and dry inside the polythene packaging until installation, to preserve the finish.
Do not store or install in an area which may be subject to extremes of temperature. Use a dry, well ventilated building, in areas which have not been recently plastered. Avoid exposure to sunlight.
We do not recommend door sets are stored in containers for more than 48 hours. Do not store
door assemblies standing upright or leaning, as this can cause bowing and product damage.
It is essential that precautions are taken where there is a risk of moisture content build up.
Care is also needed in centrally heated or air-conditioned buildings. Simply inform us at the time
of tender as the testing and rapid switching on and off of heating during construction is detrimental to the joinery.
Following delivery of your door sets you will receive your O&M manual by email which will give you advice and guidance on caring for your door sets.
