Sentry Doors are Supporting Fire Door Safety Week 2021

Commitment to being fire safety conscious and operating at the highest possible standard is evident in everything we do, and this campaign represents a great opportunity to join with fellow industry experts in a bid to educate and address issues pertinent to fire safety.

The Fire Door Safety campaign, the brainchild of  The British Woodworking Federation, now running for a ninth year, aims to raise awareness of the importance of fire doors in preventing exposure to fire and smoke. The campaign intends to raise awareness of the role that fire doors play in saving lives and protecting property by discussing key industry issues and focusing on information that can support the progression of fire door safety. This year’s campaign, ‘Make Time to Save Lives’, will run from the 20^th – 26^th September and is centred around stamping out the legacy of fire door neglect.

This year, we aim to get involved by encouraging people to be more aware of the impact of fire door neglect and to take necessary actions to prevent the dangers of hazardous products in homes and buildings. To show our support, we will be shining a light on the components of a fire door, collaborating with our suppliers to explain the crucial role that all elements of a door play, when correctly assembled, in the event of a fire.

Fire doors are critical in buildings that require strict fire protection as they act as a vital line of defence in a fire.
