The project
Gateville Group recently carried out a fire door replacement project at St. Joseph’s Catholic School, replacing a collection of corridor doors and classroom entrance doors with bespoke, fully certified communal entrance doorsets, manufactured by Sentry Doors.
The doorsets manufactured for this project were very bespoke. We took our FED11 flat entrance door style and adapted it to create a communal version fit for this school environment. We manufactured 41 FD30S doorsets in total, modified to suit the client’s request. The variations of doorsets included single glazed or flushed doorsets with mouldings and double doorsets with sidelights and fanlights.
The work was scheduled to be carried out over the Easter holidays, which gave Gateville four weeks to work with us to design and manufacture the doorsets, and two weeks to install the doors. We were happy to support Gateville to meet this deadline and once we had received all the information needed, we were able to manufacture the doorsets within four weeks and deliver them on time to site, ready for Gateville to install. Gateville were successful in completing the project during the Easter holidays, ensuring all doorsets were installed and of a high quality before the students and staff returned.

Despite there being a few challenges with this project, including time constraints, the bespoke product requirements, as well as the specific colour request which we had to purchase from a specific paint manufacturer, the project was completed on time and in line with the clients’ requests. The success of this project has opened future opportunities for Gateville Group, as they delivered on time and to a high standard.
